Dr. Moustafa Mourad, MD, FACS is a distinguished, New York City based Facial Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon. He holds dual board certifications in Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery by the American Board of Facial Plastic Surgery (ABFPRS), as well as Head & Neck Surgery (ABOTO). He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Mourad was then selected from hundreds of exceptional candidates to complete an additional year of aesthetic and advanced facial plastics and reconstructive surgery training with the world-renowned surgeon Dr. Yadranko Ducic. While there, Dr. Mourad intentionally fine-tuned his skills to better provide an exceptional level of care for his patients.

I was on the hunt for the perfect plastic surgeon for a rhinoplasty/septoplasty for many years. When I found Dr Mourad and decided to proceed with the surgery, it was the best decision I ever made. He changed my life, my look, my ability to breathe and stop snoring! I flew in from out of town for the surgery and he and his staff were so accommodating. The days post op he was available by text, call, his personal number, to make sure everything was going well and it did. My recovery was easy and I was able to fly out of town and back to work in a week. He was honest about what would look natural and what wouldn’t and my surgery came out looking so natural many people who know me couldn’t pinpoint what exactly changed. Dr. Mourad is a kind and caring doctor who doesnt make you feel rushed and explains in detail what the issue is. For me I had a deviated septum and a complete closure of the bridge and Midvault which made my nose drop down on itself. Before and After Female Necklift

This wonderful patient of mine had a neck lift 2 months ago. She came in seeking better contouring of her neck and jawline. She initially sought consultation for neck liposuction. However, careful evaluation and discussions with the patient allowed us to choose a more appropriate course of treatment- a neck lift! Sometimes patients may not understand their own anatomy, which is why I enjoy mapping out their conditions and treatment options from an anatomical perspective.

Liposuction will only address the layer of fat that sits beneath the skin above the muscle. If you look at her before photos, you will see she does not actually have a “fatty” neck. Instead, she has a sagging in her muscles that are causing an obtuse angle (red arrows). By tightening those muscles up, and bringing them higher up, it improves the contour of the neck. A great adjuvant surgery would be a lower face lift to also enhance the jawline contour. However, she decided to go with the neck lift, and still had a fantastic result!
