Biography
Moustafa Mourad, MD, FACS is double board-certified in Head and Neck Surgery and Facial Plastic Surgery and Reconstruction. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He treats many conditions, both cosmetic and complex, that affect the head, neck, and entire facial area.
A member of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Mourad has carefully developed his clinical skills and fully understands the importance of making each patient’s appearance as pleasing as possible—providing aesthetic results that stand the test of time. He explains that accomplishing sustained and enduringly attractive results is essential, whether you’re having a basic cosmetic procedure or require an advanced level of facial reconstruction.
Dr. Mourad received advanced surgical training at respected institutions including New York’s Beth Israel Medical Center and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, where he was chief resident in otolaryngology in the specialty of head and neck surgery. Dr. Mourad was then selected from hundreds of exceptional candidates to complete an additional year of aesthetic and advanced facial plastics and reconstructive surgery training with the world-renowned surgeon Dr. Yadranko Ducic. While there, Dr. Mourad intentionally fine-tuned his skills to better provide an exceptional level of care for his New York City patients. His substantial experience also includes a current position as the Chief of Head & Neck and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at the James J. Peters Hospital in New York City. Dr. Mourad also holds the position of Chief of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center and TJH Medisys Health Network.

He has received a number of distinguished awards, including the J. Swift Hanley Memorial Award for excellence in head and neck oncology research. He has also published dozens of scientific papers and chapters in academic texts. His work includes advanced research in areas such as head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstruction of the head and neck. These include:
