After a long week it was great to see one of my post ops in the office. This is a wonderful patient of mine that underwent rhinoplasty for both cosmetic and functional related issues. My favorite part is she couldn’t stop smiling in her before as well as her after photos. It’s amazing to take care of such pleasant and wonderful patients. She’s 3 months post op here with some mild swelling that should continue to improve over the coming months.
Very excited to share photos of my patient. It’s hard to believe he is only 4 weeks out and looks so good! He had severe tip asymmetry, with inability to breathing, requiring overall reconstruction with rib. He had narrowing of his nostrils, in addition to being too projected (long nose). The key was to de-project him, but not by a lot, since he has a strong facial skeleton, so as to keep the overall harmony and balance of the face.
Very excited to share before/after photos of a wonderful patient. This is a young gentleman that had prior nasal surgery and was left with a saddle nose deformity. This is a great case because it highlights the importance of close evaluation and communication with the patient. What many people see as a “hump” on the nose, is actually the nose “sagging” in some parts. Rather than “removing/shaving the hump”, you get a better aesthetic and functional result by building up the sagging parts of the nose, to give a masculine, straight, nasal dorsum. This patient required rib reconstruction.
Excited to share before/after photos of a sliding genioplasty! This patient had microgenia, referring to a small chin. Common options for this surgery are:
Chin Implant
Sliding Genioplasty.
This patient underwent a sliding genioplasty, where the chin bone was actually advanced. It is a natural solution with the best long term results. Benefits of implants on the other hand include less down time, and reduced operative time. I am very happy to be able provide both options to my patients.
UPDATE:
Happy to post a 5-month post-op of one of my most wonderful patients! He underwent male rhinoplasty and sliding genioplasty for chin augmentation. These two procedures complement each other nicely to balance out the nose. Still a mild amount of swelling that should come down over the next 6 months.
Thrilled to show before/after photos of my Park Avenue patient. This is a wonderful patient that underwent an endoscopic browlift. This is a minimally invasive procedure that uses small incisions in the scalp to restore balance and symmetry to the face. This can be done for both cosmetic and reconstructive purposes. This patient was left with a paralyzed right eye brow after a previous surgery by another physician. The goal was to restore the balance and aesthetic of his eye brow position.
This wonderful patient underwent primary rhinoplasty after sustaining a severe trauma! She’s only 6 weeks out in these before and after rhinoplasty photos, but looks so great already!

Thrilled to share these before and after photos of a wonderful patient of mine. It’s always a little extra pressure when you operate on someone you work with, but also an honor and a privilege to be entrusted with their care. She had an open rhinoplasty 8 months ago. She has mild tip swelling that should subside over the coming months, with de-rotation of her tip. Special thanks to her for allowing us to share in her journey!
After undergoing double jaw reconstructive surgery and dealing with a 2-year recovery-alongside its permanent consequences-I had noticed an overall change in my nose. Specifically, the base had widened and my tip had begun to severely droop when smiling. Due to my past, I was extremely hesitant to pursue surgery again but have ultimately decided to follow through with it due to my deviated septum.
Over the course of 3 months, I shopped around for a surgeon and had a dozen consultations. Dr. Mourad was the ONLY doctor who took the time to hear my concerns and walk me through the entire process; Whether I had one or 20 questions, he would always respond to my calls/text before and after the operation to ensure I’m both comfortable and excited. As implied, he was the last physician I spoke with.
I asked for a natural result and I got just that in return. The recovery was much easier than I expected and I was up and about only a week after surgery. I cannot stress enough how natural my nose looks and how beautiful my profile is – it’s the best when people ask you if you lost weight and tell you that you look radiant only 2 weeks post-op.
If anyone reading this is hesitant to find a doctor or is worried about their nose appearance post-op… don’t be. Dr. Mourad is genuinely a great physician and, most importantly, a person. He’s a professional who loves his job, and his genuine passion is exemplified in his approach from start to finish.
I am forever grateful to him for restoring both my confidence and breathing.
Unfortunately, I’m not given the option to upload my before and after pics here; His insta page (@nycfacedoc) showcases all of his artwork.
If you’re set on undergoing rhinoplasty, good luck, and congratulations!
